Welcome to Immanuel, Old Church!

We follow the way of Christ to serve the community and foster spiritual growth through worship, education, fellowship, and joyful song.

What's New?

Join us for Evening Prayer, Supper and Fellowship on First Saturdays in February and March, beginning at 5:30 P.M. in the parish house. Families are asked to bring enough food for themselves and some to share. Single members, please bring a dessert. Please also bring card games, board games, musical instruments and other activities to enhance the fellowship experience following supper.

Pray for our members serving abroad.  Each Sunday in the prayers of the people, we pray for members of Immanuel and family and friends of members who are currently serving in the military. Several of these individuals are deployed abroad. Please take a moment to say a prayer for them.  You can also contact them by e-mail.  For questions, please contact Brian Stout.

Come Join Us!

Located in historic Old Church, just minutes from the center of Mechanicsville, Immanuel is a welcoming community of energetic, creative and inquiring people from all walks of life. Some members have had family ties to the church for several generations and many others are new to the area. If you are looking for a church home or would just like to visit, we hope you'll join us. Everyone is welcome!

Throughout the year, we are involved in a variety of local and international outreach programs, but we are perhaps best known for The Cherub School, our preschool ministry, and for Music in the Old Church, an increasingly popular music program offered at various locations throughout the Richmond area during the fall.

We invite you to join us for worship, joyful music and fellowship. Sunday services with Holy Eucharist are offered at 9 and 11 a.m. each Sunday in our historic church building, constructed in 1853. During the summer, one service at 10 a.m. is offered. (Yes, it's air conditioned!) Please join us! Click here for what to expect.
